Blizzard Issues Cease & Desist Against Project Ascension Private Server
Blizzard Issues Cease & Desist Against Project Ascension Private ServerThe Blizzard legal team has had a busy year, first winning their injunction against TurtleWoW in April, and then immediately sending an order to cease and desist to the Stormforge Project private server. Now, Blizzard has filed an additional injunction against one of the largest remaining private servers still running - Project Ascension.

Did These Streamers Test Classic+?

The charges in this latest complaint include copyright infringement and engaging in RICO conspiracies. The complaint was filed on Friday, June 12th, and the case is assumed to wrap up faster than the TurtleWoW injunction, as many individuals associated with Project Ascension are within US jurisdiction.

If you'd like to learn more details about this case, check out the Main Document on courtlistener.com.

New Sporefall Raid Rewards in Patch 12.0.7 - New Sporefused Gear and Mount
New Sporefall Raid Rewards in Patch 12.0.7 - New Sporefused Gear and MountThe new single-boss Sporefall raid in Patch 12.0.7 drops the highest item level Sporefused equipment, as well as toys, decor, transmog, and a mount!

Highest Item Level RewardsAll of Rotmire's loot is Sporefused, dropping 9 item levels above the normal upgrade tracks for each difficulty. This is equivalent to Ascendant Voidcore upgraded gear, although available on several more gear slots than just weapons and trinkets, making Rotmire very compelling for players looking for that extra edge in item level.

LFR: 259

Normal: 272

Heroic: 285

Mythic: 298

Ascendant Voidcore upgrades cannot be used on Rotmire's Sporefused gear, as they are already functionally upgraded.

The boss drops two pieces for each armor type, as well as three pieces of jewelry. The loot also comes pre-upgraded, so you won't be spending any crests.

Trinket and Cantrip EffectsThe jewelry is especially interesting, as there are two new special effect items for players to collect. The ring is a nature damage version of Eternal Voidsong Chain, while the necklace allows healers to apply an absorption shield with a minor damaging effect! The trinket is common to everyone though, triggering a random secondary stats and leech.

DecorContinuing the trend set in previous raids, players can also collect the Luminous Rotshroom decor, because nothing says "home" like a little fungus! Interestingly, there do not appear to be any difficulty-specific trophies, such as the March on Quel'Danas Vanquisher's Gleaming Trophy, nor is there a distinct Hall of Fame for the mini-raid either.

I love the smell of rot in the morning!

Mushroom ToysHearth back to your home, or bring home to you with some delicious treats!

One of us, one of us!

Shroom CapThere's even a cute little cosmetic hat to help players blend in with fellow Fungarians.

Day 33, they still suspect nothing.

Sporeglider MountFinally, the Luminous Sporeglider is also obtained from Rotmire in the Sporefall raid, though with a special twist. Instead of being a rare drop, this glowing glider is obtained by combining four Delicious Sporesnacks. Players will likely receive one per account per week for defeating the boss on any difficulty, which means everyone can obtain the mount in as little as four weeks.

“This sporeglider’s voracious appetite for luminescent spores has lent it an exquisite glow.”

Fresh Season of Discovery Community Event Begins Next Week!
Fresh Season of Discovery Community Event Begins Next Week!As hype continues to build for the next iteration of WoW Classic, many players have gone back to Season of Discovery to relive Classic's most recent experimental server. With interest in this seasonal server growing, several content creators in the EU region have come together to emulate a Fresh Season of Discovery event!

Season of Discovery EU Community Event

WoW Classic content creators, including Guzu, Savix, Jokerd, sunglitters, and Lmgd will be creating guilds on Friday, June 19th on the Wild Growth (EU) server. In an effort to rebalance the server population, these guilds will be rolling on the Horde side. While all of these guilds will be playing together, each of them will have different rules and goals. If you'd like to join this community event, be sure to check out the SoD Fake Fresh EU Discord server. Below, you'll find a brief summary of each guild's rules and goals.

Jokerdtv Guild

Jokerd's guild will not have any rules, other than that characters in the guild will all be required to have a specific suffix in their name, to show that the character was created for this event. Any characters made prior to the event on June 19th can still join the guild, but they will have to wait until after the guild has cleared the Scarlet Enclave raid.

The goal for this guild is to defeat Grand Crusader Caldoran roughly 3 weeks into the event. Once this is completed, the guild will open up, and anyone will be able to join. Additionally, if you already have a character and don't want to level another one for this event, you can join the sister guild <Just Watching> to play with other non-event characters who will join the main guild later.

Guzu's Guild

To prevent players from just buying gear, Guzu's guild will be guild-found, meaning there will be no use of the Auction House or trading outside of the guild. However, the goal of the guild remains the same: to defeat every boss of the Scarlet Enclave.

Additionally, Guzu's guild will periodically turn off experience gains in order to better emulate the original release cadence of Season of Discovery. These leveling brackets will be the same as they were in the original SoD release Phases, with level caps of 25, 40, and 50, with leveling Phases lasting around 10 days each.

Lmgd's Guild

Similar to Jokerd's guild, there will be no rules for Lmgd's Guild, other than to have the correct suffix in your character's name, indicating that they were created specifically for this event. While this guild is laid-back in terms of rules, the goal of this guild is to level and complete Scarlet Enclave as fast as possible.

@everyone Hello everyone and Welcome back to Season of Discovery !!!

Here is a TLDR of what <LMGDMMR> is and what the plans are:

RULES:

The only rule to be in <LMGDMMR> guild is to have a suffix, that's going to be the same as Jokerd's guild, and will be announced 5-10 minutes before the event starts.

The only rule to not be removed from the guild is not to cause any drama within or with other guilds. If you really don't like someone, just don't play with them, don't need to let everyone know what you think about them.

You can level however you want and trade/play with whoever you want.

Characters without suffix can join as soon as Me + Jokerds guild kill Caldoran in our 40 man raid.

Loot rules - 1) Need before Greed for MC / BWL / AQ 2) Soft Reserve for Naxx / SE

Raid times - EVERY DAY, ALL DAY LONG, WILL EVEN TRY TO COVER SOME NA RAID TIMES. 🙂

I am going to try my best to keep the guild / raids alive up untill Blizzcon.

PLANS:

My guild is going to have one 20-man raid that's trying to kill Caldoran as soon as possible. Would be lovely to kill it on day 8 after creating characters, but might be not realistic, so therefore day 12 after creating characters is the main-main goal (3rd lockout).

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO LEVEL SLOW AND ENJOY ALL THE RAIDS, DONT WORRY BECAUSE I WILL HAVE 4+ LEVEL 60 ALTS WITHIN FIRST DAYS.

That's being said, the first raid is only for those who are willing to invest a lot of time and try to push the limits.

For those who are leveling slower and enjoying low-level raids, whenever enough ppl ding level 60 I will instantly start organizing multiple 30-40 man no-gatekeeping raids, and anyone can join that.

I will probably have more and faster alts than most of the other raidleaders, therefore in order to fill the rest of the raids we would be filling those raids with those that didn't get a spot in a BIG-STREAMER guilds.

Thanks and see you in SoD 🙂

Other Guilds

While Saxiv and sunglitters have not created any specific rules or goals for their guilds, Saxiv is planning on raiding during NA-friendly times. All guilds will be forming around the same time, and the event details include:

Event begins around noon CEST June 19th

Event characters will be required to have a specific suffix in their name (to be announced on June 19th)

The event is taking place on the Wild Growth (EU) server

All Guilds will be rolling Horde

If you're interested in participating in this event, be sure to join the SoD Fake Fresh EU Discord server and check out our Season of Discovery - Fake Fresh (EU) guide!

Ellesmere Announces the Return of Targeted Spells on Raid Frames for Healers
Ellesmere Announces the Return of Targeted Spells on Raid Frames for HealersThe ability to track who is being targeted by enemy casters on raid frames has returned in an addon update by Ellesmere UI.

Ellesmere UI

Ellesmere is a high level Holy Paladin player who has put out a brand new UI Suite in Midnight called "EllesmereUI".

EllesmereUI is a fully modular UI suite designed for players who want complete control over their interface without sacrificing performance or simplicity. Every element is built from the ground up to be lightweight, responsive, and easy to configure.

At the heart of EllesmereUI is a powerful visual editor (Unlock Mode) that allows you to move elements, anchor them to anything, and easily match their width and height to other elements. Whether you prefer a minimal layout or a fully tailored interface, EllesmereUI makes it effortless to design a UI that feels uniquely yours.

Targeted Spells on Raid Frames

Healers have fought long and hard since the addon changes for some of their previous functionality back. First, healers had to fight by doing really terrible workarounds in order to show baseline class buffs due of a lack of buff and debuff filtering. This eventually caused Blizzard to add priority buff sorting for important healer buffs on frames.

When Season 1 launched, healer had issues with dispels not showing a glow because the UI was not set up to handle Private Aura'd dispels. This lead to Blizzard removing dispels as Private Auras for a short while, before fixing their base UI and then making the dispels Private Auras again.

Today, Ellesmere has announced the return of another feature, targeted spells on raid frames. Healers have been asking for this functionality since the addon changes, and Ellesmere has announced that this will work as part of the Ellesmere UI Suite and the Ellesmere UI standalone raid frames.

Ellesmere UI SuitesEllesmere UI Raid Frames

This is the first time that this functionality is possible since the addon purge in Midnight, and allows healers (and group members) to see the targets of casts using their raid frames only. Many healers used this in the War Within, as the functionality helps players pre-emptively track where the damage is coming from before it hits. It's hard to see the targets of a couple casters in a massive pull from only nameplates, and it's much easier to see who the casts are on by looking at clear indicators on their raid frames. This will allow healers to prep for a bolt, or important cast by using an external or large heal, or for a DPS will allow them to preemptively use a Health Potion or Defensive before the cast lands.

In the clip, you can see the first pull of Magister's Terrace where the raid frames are able to track the targets of the Arcane Bolt and Ethereal Shackles casts. It's a lot easier to track the targets of these spells versus tracking them on nameplates, and this is only a 5 target pull!

Practice L'ura Phase 4 with X Practice Addon
Practice L'ura Phase 4 with X Practice AddonWant to practice L'ura Phase 4? The X Practice Addon has been updated and can simulate Phase 4 in hopes that your raid can one-shot the secret phase.

X Practice Addon

Mythic L'ura Phase 4

Mythic L'ura is a long complex fight where most of your wipes (~60%) occur in Phase 1. Every time that your raid gets past Phase 1, you want to make the best of the pull and it feels real bad to wipe in Phase 4 when you're just so close to killing the boss. The Phase itself is quite simple as there's only a few mechanics:

Stack Up

Move to the sides with Starsplinter

Handling the Animals

Run from the giant Heaven & Hell laser beam.

All of these are simple, but all the mechanics are one-shots. In addition, any person who dies is a significant decrease in damage as just by being alive, each player deals 445k DPS a second passively from the The Last Light crystal.

Staying alive is very important just to deal crystal damage.

Compared to the rest of the encounter, this Phase has the lowest number of the mechanics but a very very few number of guilds actually one-shot the Phase right now, with the average seeming around 6 or 7 pulls.

This is where X Practice can come in to help.

X Practice Addon

You may remember the X Practice Addon from back in Ny'olatha where it had a Xanesh soccer simulator to help people practice. With its most recent update, the addon has been updated to provide a Phase 4 L'ura simulator, where players can practice the phase before they get there.

If you download the addon and type /xp, you can bring up the simulator. This simulation doesn't include any Tank responsibilities, and is mostly for DPS and healers. The simulation has basically identical movement to a real Phase 4 pull meaning that you can practice Starsplinters, dodging Animals and running from Heaven and Hell.

The simulator will let you know if you would have died, or would have caused a death, pausing the game and letting you know what happened. This includes:

Hitting another player with your Starsplinter

Getting hit by another player's Starsplinter

Leaving the safety circle

Getting hit by an animal

If you complete the entire phase, you get a congratulations screen!

If you're getting close to Phase 4, you may want to give this addon a try!

The Lord of Hatred in Your Living Room: Review of Blizzard's Mephisto Statue
The Lord of Hatred in Your Living Room: Review of Blizzard's Mephisto StatueDiablo has been in the hearts and minds of gamers for decades at this point, and what better way to celebrate the latest chapter of Diablo 4 than by proudly displaying Mephisto, Lord of Hatred, on your shelf at home? Blizzard's Gear Store offers a mighty 26-inch-tall statue of the titular Prime Evil our Wanderers have been battling in Diablo 4, serving as a constant reminder of Hatred's power over Sanctuary.

Full disclosure: We were given this statue for free as part of Wowhead's help in promoting the Lord of Hatred statue, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Wowhead will receive a commission on any purchases via the links herein.

Purchase the Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Mephisto 26" Statue

Unboxing and Assembly

The sculpted statue, weighing over 20 pounds, arrived in an impressive set of boxes and protective padding for safe shipping. Each piece was carefully wrapped in plastic, encased in Styrofoam, inside a beautiful branded box which was itself surprisingly sturdy. The entire unboxing felt premium, and the care put into the statue was already apparent.

The statue itself doesn't arrive in one piece, though - you have to assemble Mephisto yourself (which is great, because it means less risk of damage while shipping). While it seems like there are a lot of parts to put together, the setup was surprisingly quick and seamless. A manual is included to show where each piece goes, but even assembling from memory after staring at Mephisto in-game for so long was easy, so the manual was hardly used. Every piece slots neatly into the body piece, with no screws, glue, or tools required at any point.

All in all, once the pieces were out of the packaging, setting up the statue took less than 5 minutes, and the hardest part ended up being cleaning up all the boxes, plastic wrap, and styrofoam afterwards!

The Statue

With the statue weighing over 20 pounds, it's not going anywhere once it reaches its resting place. The issue is getting it there. Both the base and the body are quite dense, and while the manual suggested transporting the base separately from the body, then slotting the body back into the base afterwards, I personally found it easier to move fully assembled instead.

It should be noted that the prongs on the base, fingers, and back prongs seen below are very delicate and can easily bend or break if they snag on something, so make sure to be careful when moving it anywhere! That being said however, the tendril-like appendages on the body are far more sturdy than they might seem on first glance.

Overall, the Statue looks great and comes exactly as advertised. It's got heft, and the size is perfect as a display piece in a home office or living room. The colors are incredibly vibrant, with all the fleshy gore of Mephisto's true form coming to life with this piece. The art team working on this nailed all the muscle and tendon details, with the black ooze painted onto the base really making the statue feel like one coherent piece.

If you're interested in buying a statue for yourself, you can find it on sale now and available from the link below.

Mythic Dungeon International 2026 Finals Begins Today
Mythic Dungeon International 2026 Finals Begins TodayBlizzard has released a new trailer for the Midnight Season 1 Mythic Dungeon International Finals, running this weekend from June 12-14th, as eight teams compete for $100,000 and four spots at BlizzCon 2026!

The penultimate stage of the Tournament joins the top six teams from the global region and the top two from China together in a single bracket to culminate the competition for Season 1 of Midnight with $100,000 in prizing on the line. While eight hopeful teams will enter the weekend, only half of the competitors will see it through to the next stage: as the top four teams from the Season 1 Finals, including at least one team from the China region, will advance to BlizzCon 2026.

Speedrunning is back and the season is underway—gather round and prepare to tune in for the Mythic Dungeon International in Season 1 of Midnight! This peak Dungeon programming premieres this weekend, kicking off the year of competitions for dedicated dungeoneers across the globe. Here’s what to expect and when to tune in as the speedrunners set off on the road to BlizzCon 2026.

Time Trials

The Mythic Dungeon International celebrated its return in mid-April with a period called “Time Trials”—the open qualification stage in which hopeful competitors from around the world gather on the Tournament Realm to test their speedrunning skills in assigned dungeons.  From April 15 to April 20, registered teams raced against one another to secure the fastest times in the two dungeons at the highest level possible. At the end of these trials, the twenty-four teams with the speediest runs qualified to compete in the next stage of the Tournament: Groups.

Groups Stage

The Groups Stage is the month-long period in which the top twenty-four teams face off against each other in weekly competitions. Each weekend, eight teams compete in a head-to-head speedrunning format in the hopes of securing one of the top two placements and qualifying further in the competition. The matches will be streamed and broadcast live on the official Warcraft Twitch and YouTube channels starting at 10:00 am PDT / 19:00 CEST each day: Group A – May 8, 9, 10

Group B – May 15, 16, 17

Group C – May 22, 23, 24

Group China – May 29, 30, 31

This season’s Groups stage sees the introduction of two major shifts in format: the removal of map bans and a modified Spec Variety Rule. The updated Spec Variety Rule is tailored for the return of the speedrunning format, restricting specializations to ensure a varied representation for the duration of each series. Be sure to tune in to find out what the teams do with their increased control of spec bans and watch how they navigate the map pools of each series!

Once the fastest frontrunners have finished facing off in the Season 1 finals, the competition will close in for the most challenging course yet: the Global Finals – live from BlizzCon 2026 in Anaheim, California! The Global Finals will bring together the top four teams of the world’s most driven and daring dungeoneers in an awe-inspiring and action-packed weekend at the renowned convention as they compete for the title of World Champions and their share of the $300,000 BlizzCon 2026 prize pool.

NVIDIA Graphics Card Driver Hotfix Addresses Instability in WoW
NVIDIA Graphics Card Driver Hotfix Addresses Instability in WoWNVIDIA has released a graphics card driver hotfix, which includes stability improvements for World of Warcraft.

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 610.52 Direct DownloadClick here to download the driver directly, then run the installer.

Although unspecified as to exactly what those improvements are, users report that it has helped fix freeze and crash issues for older graphics cards using DirectX 12. As a hotfix, GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 610.52 is applied on top of the normal GeForce Game Ready Driver version 610.47 found on the NVIDIA app, though users can download an automated installer from the website.

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 610.52 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 610.47.

This hotfix addresses the following:

Resolves a frame pacing issue on certain monitors when G-SYNC is enabled

Resolved an issue that prevented the EDID from being read on certain monitors causing them to be identified as "NVIDIA NV-Failsafe”

Improved gaming stability in multi-monitor configurations when using V-SYNC with DLSS Frame Generation

Resolved an issue where certain monitors would not wake from sleep mode

Gaming stability improvements

Resolved an issue that could cause jittering or ghosting in some DirectX 11 games when Smooth Motion is enabled

Resolved an issue that could cause some games to crash when launched with Smooth Motion enabled

General stability improvements when the system fails to create a new allocation

A GeForce driver is an incredibly complex piece of software, We have an army of software engineers constantly adding features and fixing bugs. These changes are checked into the main driver branches, which are eventually run through a massive QA process and released. Since we have so many changes being checked in, we usually try to align driver releases with significant game or product releases. This process has served us pretty well over the years but it has one significant weakness. Sometimes a change that is important to many users might end up sitting and waiting until we are able to release the driver. The GeForce Hotfix driver is our way to trying to get some of these fixes out to you more quickly. These drivers are basically the same as the previous released version, with a small number of additional targeted fixes. The fixes that make it in are based in part on your feedback in the Driver Feedback threads and partly on how realistic it is for us to quickly address them. These fixes (and many more) will be incorporated into the next official driver release, at which time the Hotfix driver will be taken down. To be sure, these Hotfix drivers are beta, optional and provided as-is. They are run through a much abbreviated QA process. The sole reason they exist is to get fixes out to you more quickly. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL certified driver. But we know that many of you are willing to try these out. As a result, we only provide NVIDIA Hotfix drivers through our NVIDIA Customer Care support site.

TRAVEL TO VAL AND NAIGTAL TO QUELL LEADERS OF THE VOID

Facing the forces of the Void in Void Assaults and Ritual Sites isn’t enough to stop their machinations. To cut the threat off at its source, you’ll need to hunt down the leaders behind these brutal attacks on Azeroth. Track them through a portal in Voidstorm leading to two new locations—Val and Naigtal.

Naigtal: A fungal, arcane-rich world now occupied by an insidious ethereal faction known as the Hal'hadar.

Val: An icy world once inhabited by the Legion where the Domanaar Imperator Pertinax has established his bastion of power.

The portal to these worlds is unstable and switches destinations every week, bringing a rotating set of challenges and experiences. Players can undertake World Quests, defeat rare enemies, take part in events, and ultimately have a showdown with the leaders as world bosses.

GAIN NEW POWER WITH THE OMNIUM FOLIO

Join Magister Umbric and Grand Magister Rommath on a mission to reconfigure and restore the Sunstrider Omnium. This ancient elven relic was originally created by Dath’remar Sunstrider to study and observe the various schools of magic and to serve as an academic repository. After years of silence, the Sunstrider Omnium has now reawakened, unsettling the Magisters and sowing disarray among them.

Once unlocked, you’ll be entrusted with the Omnium Folio, a runic ledger containing powerful runes of power you can use in battle. Continue taking part in weekly activities to imbue more runes—customizing these initial runes and unlocking their maximum potential to aid you in the fight against the Void. These rune powers will be available to players throughout the rest of the Midnight expansion.

PREPARE TO FACE ROTMIRE IN THE SPOREFALL RAID

Introducing a new single-boss raid located in Harandar. You’ll face the fungal giant Rotmire in Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties. Players can also undertake Mythic difficulty in flexible groups of 15-25 players.

Take on Rotmire to unlock a range of enticing rewards, including the Luminous Rotshroom housing decor item, Luminous Sporeglider mount, Sporefused gear ranging from item level 259 on Raid Finder difficulty to 298 on Mythic difficulty, and more.

Developers’ notes: This type of durability damage affected different classes and specs in an asymmetrical way. With this change, all players should experience less durability damage in 12.0.7, but in particular, players who use shields or fast weapons should see significantly less durability damage from wear and tear.

Galactic Gladiator, Aspirant, Warmonger, and crafted PvP equipment have had their PvP item levels increased by 9. Galactic Voidsliver and Galactic Void Matrix items can no longer be acquired. Existing copies have been removed from player inventories and replaced with their equivalent gold value. Rebuilt how the Moth Hunt feature in Harandar gives rewards. These quests will only be visible to players who have reached the collection requirements to get a specific reward, but have not already acquired it.

Extra copies of decor may still be purchased from Mothkeeper Wew'tam for Voidlight Marl after receiving your first one. Mothkeeper Wew'tam now has dialogue options explaining what rewards she gives for collecting different amounts of moths. Added a display bar above Mothkeeper Wew'tam to show your collection progress.

For example, /tm ~4 will apply the triangle marker only if the target has no marker; if a marker is already present, the command does nothing.

DAMAGE METERS

Lowered the minimum window size, allowing you to make the Damage Meters window smaller than before.

Shift clicking a Damage Meter row now opens a details window that stays open until manually closed.

During PvP activities, Damage Meter bars are now a different color for allies versus enemies. If the "Show Class Colors" option is enabled, a faction icon is shown instead.

The Personal Resource Display is now more customizable:

New options include controlling overall size, bar width, health bar height, power bar height, padding between bars, opacity, and visibility (Always, In Combat, Hidden).

Blizzard Has a Plan to Take Care of Casino Bots
Blizzard Has a Plan to Take Care of Casino BotsOver the last several weeks, players have begun noticing an increase in the amount of "Casino Bots" littering the streets of major cities, such as Stormwind and Orgrimmar. These bots advertise gambling, announce big winners, and have overall become a nuisance in trade and general chat channels. Recently, Blizzard has caught wind of this activity, and they have a plan to put an end to these gambling bots.

The casino thing that's vogue right now. Just to confirm we're aware, it's still against policy to advertise a casino (https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/help/article/000227547) so keep reporting them (or dropping infernals on them).

Digging in, it looks like the RMT crowd (that's gold sellers) have realized this is an easy way to make gold quickly and cheaply, which has driven an uptick in the behavior.

You caught Watcher's attention so we have a few folks looking into ideas on how we can make getting these people out of the game much faster so the activity is less lucrative and in turn, they will hopefully piss off.

Don't expect any sort of big fanfare "Mission Accomplished!" banner for this one, this is one of the ones that you hopefully don't even notice stopped happening if we get it right.

While players wait for Blizzard's official plan to come to fruition, they have come up with their own, creative ways to deal with these pesky casino bots.

As Senior Game Producer, Tom Ellis, mentions in his post above, Warlocks are able to deal with these bots by simply casting Inferno and letting the Infernal run wild. However, players on the r/classicwow subreddit have come up with a plethora of other methods to temporarily deal with these bots, including the Swamp of Sorrows debuff, Rift Beacon, or bringing a Parasite from Netherstorm into a major city.

Mythic L'ura Macros and Positioning Assignments
Mythic L'ura Macros and Positioning AssignmentsAfter the Hall of Fame nerfs, Mythic L'ura is still a formidable boss with a lot of setup. If you're going for Cutting Edge: Midnight Falls, here is what you need to know about setting up Mythic L'ura for your guild.

Mythic L'ura

Even after the Hall of Fame nerfs for Mythic L'ura, there are over 1,000 guilds that are on the boss with more joining them after the Belo'ren nerfs. L'ura is the biggest boss for setup this tier with players having to set up a lot of things including addons, macros, and positioning assignments.

Addon Requirement

For Mythic L'ura, you will need Northern Sky Raid Tools as it has tools for the Memory Game and Interrupts. You'll want to make sure both the Runes Display and Interrupt Display modules are turned on in the addon.

One of your Tanks and Healers will need to set up the Rune Macros. You need to place the files in the correct folder and instructions can be found in this video if those players haven't done it yet.

Interrupts

For the Interrupts on the Matrices, you need to assign 12 people to an interrupt rotation: 4 players to Boss 2, 4 players to Boss 3 and 4 players to Boss 4. This works as the Matrices show up on the Boss frame. Augmentation Evokers should be assigned to the 1st or the 4th interrupt as they use Time Skip during the 2nd and 3rd kicks, and Devourer DH's want to be the 1st or 2nd kick.

Each of the players who is assigned to a Boss number, needs to set up a macro. These can be found below and the interrupt name needs to be changed to the classes kick. If you need help, Wowutils has an Interrupt Macro Helper.

/cast {Kick Name}

/cast {Kick Name}

Macro 1:/focus

Macro 2:/cast {Kick Name}

/cast {Kick Name}/cast {Kick Name}/cast {Kick Name}

If you want to track who is missing kicks in logs, you can also have the first person in each group add a marking macro.

/tm 1/tm 2 /tm 3

Example Raidplans

There are many positioning assignments that need to happen in the L'ura Encounter. Here are some example raidplans that can help you to set up your raid.

Intermission Raidplan: https://raidplan.io/plan/p483v5bwpqdfxb9j/editPhase 3 Raidplan: https://raidplan.io/plan/D0pOYlDRgsnP2Ct7/edit

Each of this raidplans has to be set up in a specific way:

In the intermission, you’ll need to spread your raid out to minimize the chance of players getting cleaved. Melee and healers on the inner circle and ranged DPS on the outside. You want to have two crystal holders give their crystals to the tanks for this phase to reduce the chance of death, and the tanks position across the raid from the healers as they can be self sufficient.

For the Galvanize beams, you want 5 players in each soak. Each of the lines should be assigned a role type: Tank, melee, ranged or healer. First, you'll want to assign any non-crystal players into their correct group, and then fill with crystal players after as they can’t be targeted by the beams directly. This means that the tank beam should have 2 tanks and 3 crystal DPS and the healer beam should be 4 healers and 1 crystal DPS. If you have a slight mismatch, you can do a 6 and 4 split but it will increase the AoE damage of each cast by about 15k.

For this spread, there is an inner ring and an outer ring. Your 6 crystal carriers should be on the inner ring as they need to be close to the crystals in the center. All other players need to be on the outside edge and the tanks can stack. If you want to reduce moment, you'll want to position players close to their respective beams. You can see in the example below that all healers are near the healer assignment on the North.

This is the final spread that you need to do, and the positions are completely determined by which side you want players on in Phase 3. You can do almost anything in Phase 3 at this point, but you want a tank and 2 healers on each side and ideally a Rogue and Disc Priests are on the left side as some of their effects don’t work correctly on the right side. You want to split any raid buffs such as Monks, Hunters, Warlocks, and DHs, and make sure that all melee aren’t on either side. Once you’ve created your groups, you need to make your Phase 2 end spread. Crystal holders are on the inner ring, and each other player should be to the left or right behind a crystal holder.

If you want a full video guide, check out my video below which goes through all the setup, and descriptions of each phase as well.
